Wisdom: easy but not effortless

WISDOM: EASY BUT NOT EFFORTLESS

“Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
Praise him forever!” (Psalms 111:10 NLT).

According to this verse, what we need to do to grow in wisdom is obey the commandments of God. It’s a very simple instruction, but sometimes it’s not very easy to carry it out.

Being wise is not very complicated. It doesn’t require several doctorate degrees. Being wise is achievable even for those who didn’t have the opportunity to go to college. It’s easy and simple: just obey the commandments of God.

Is it easy to leave blessings to our children if we are still rich?Whatdoes wisdom and obedience have to do with this question?

Disobeying God makes us stubborn, causes us pain, poverty, problems and we leave a cursed legacy and bad reputation to our children.

On the contrary, obeying his commandments gives us wisdom, produces riches and brings blessing to our next generations

“¡How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.” (Psalms 112:1-3 NTV).

Think about it:

What type of legacy are you leaving for your generation? Is it of blessing or curse?
What changes do you have to make in order to leave a legacy of blessing and obtain riches?
Do your actions and decisions show wisdom or stubbornness?
