GOD WANTS TO MEET WITH YOU
…I will meet with you there. (Exodus 30:6b NLT)
God has always enjoyed meeting with man.
Before, it was a complicated ritual and only the High Priest could go into the tent of the Holy Place.
Place the incense altar just outside the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant, in front of the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that covers the tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant. I will meet with you there. (Exodus 30:6 NLT)
Today, we can all easily enter his presence by having a meeting with him every day.
Because of that, we now dedicate a time of prayer every day to have an intimate time with Him.
- God would meet with Adam in the Garden of Eden.
- God would meet with Moses on the mount.
- Moses would go to the tabernacle meeting to meet with God.
- Jesus went to the transfiguration mount to meet with Moses and Elijah.
- Jacob met with God in a field and fought with him, and Jacob’s name was changed.
- Abraham met with God before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Saul met with Jesus on his way to Damascus and his life was transformed.
Now we all meet up in the temple to worship God together, but we also have our own personal encounter with God daily. It is something easy and practical, and it does not need to be complicated.
…I will meet with you there. (Exodus 30:6b NLT)
Think about it:
When was the last alone time you had to meet with God?
What has been an obstacle for you to have a meeting with God?
Why do you think it’s necessary to meet with God every day?
