I DON’T WANT TO BE A MURDERER
Anyone who hates another brother or sister[a] is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them. (1 John 3:15 NLT)
Lord, search my heart and show me if there is resentment or bitterness in me against any of my brothers in Christ, because I don’t want to be compared to a murderer.
I am aware that this verse speaks of love and hatred of the brothers in Christ, So I decided to extend this thought to have no hatred against any person (Christian or non-Christian) who has done me wrong, those who betrayed, defamed, or stole from me.
The most affected would be me for keeping hatred and spite. I don’t want to be a dump of the devil, but a temple of the Holy Spirit.
So, I decide to forgive the abusive authorities, those who humiliated me, those who robbed me, etc.
So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters,if the world hates you. If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead (1 John 3:13-14 NLT)
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. (Matthew 5:44-46)
Let us ask God in our time of prayer to help us be more like Him, not only to forgive our enemies, but also to bless them; because if God does it, who are we not to do it?

What people do you have to forgive now that you know this verse of the Bible?
What kind of wishes or thoughts do you have for the people who have harmed you?
How has resentment affected you?
What will you do to have your heart healthy and aligned to the will of God?
