LET THE FEARFUL STAY HOME
In this verse, we see the instructions that the officers had to follow before going to battle, and one of them was to make sure no one in the team was scared to go, because that would cause fear in everyone else. If they were fearful, they would rather have them stay home.
Fearful people scare others, while the brave motivate others. Negative people discourage their neighbors, while people with faith inspire others to live by faith.
Fearful parents form children who are insecure in life, but parents who know God raise kids who develop their faith and believe that nothing is impossible with God.
A leader with no conviction discourages his or her team, family, and church.
We shouldn’t let ourselves be led by people who are fearful and don’t dare to take on big things for God. However, a leader also doesn’t want someone on their team who is scared, unstable, and insecure because it could affect the morals of the rest of the team.
Let’s be people who are full of the spirit of God.
Then the officers will also say, ‘Is anyone here afraid or worried? If you are, you may go home before you frighten anyone else. (Deuteronomy 20:8 NLT)
Think about it:
What kind of person are you in your team? When they give you a new project are you one of the scared ones or the brave ones who inspires others?
What about yourself has multiplied in your children? What area do you need to ask the Holy Spirit for help with?
