LIVING IN THE WILL OF GOD
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. (Hebrews 6:10 NLT).
There are so many people who live outside of the will of God. Some are business people when they should be pastors, and vice versa. For this reason, it is to our advantage to know and live in the perfect will of God. Look at the things that happen when we live in the will of God:
1. In the will of God, we find better things.
Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don’t believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation. (Hebrews 6:9 NLT)
2. God does not forget what we do in His will.
There are rewards from God for us. Even if it sometimes seems like they take long to arrive, they will come because God is not unjust.
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. (Hebrews 6:10 NLT).
3. It is the will of God for us to love people and help reconnect them with God.
Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. (Hebrews 6:11 NLT).
4. We become indifferent when we don’t live in the will of God.
Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance. (Hebrews 6:12 NLT).
Think about it:
What things have you done in your life that you now understand were outside the will of God?
What things have you done in your life that clearly were the will of God?
What things do you believe are the will of God for you to do at this point in your life?
