Useless to fight against the will of God

USELESS TO FIGHT AGAINST THE WILL OF GOD

… “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is useless for you to fight against my will.”. (Acts 26:14 NLT)

For many years, I tried to live in a materialistic way, seeking to achieve popular goals related with the “American dream”, but my life was empty and incomplete.

During these times, we don’t know the will of God. Other times we do know it, but we try to ignore the purpose God brought us to this Earth for. Finally, others also know the will of God, but try to fight against God’s purpose for their lives, which is useless.

The result is an incomplete, mediocre, and unhappy life.
Sometimes, it isn’t until we fall that we reflect and begin to fulfill God’s will in our lives. That is what happened to Paul and many times happens to us human beings.

We all fell down, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is useless for you to fight against my will. (Acts 26:14 NLT)

Think about it:

Do you feel like your life is full or empty?
Are you doing the will of God or fighting against it?
Will you stop fighting God’s will while you’re still standing, or wait until life tears you down to the ground to do it?
