GOD’S WILL
There are so many people in this world who live outside the will of God. Some are business people when they should be pastors, and others are pastors when they should be business people, etc.
It is so beautiful to live in the will of God.
One is the permissive will: where one makes a decision and God is only left to say, “Well, if that’s what you want.” The other is the perfect will of God, which is good, pleasing, and perfect.
It is not the same to live in the permissive will of God as living in the perfect will of God. It benefits us to live in the perfect will of God. God’s will is the best for a person.
What is God’s will?
1. God’s mind revealed to us humans, in the now.
2. God’s motives for mankind.
3. God’s purpose for people.
What are some characteristics of God’s will?
•. It’s eternal, he wants us to be saved.
• It’s a mystery.
• It’s supernatural. It will take you further than what you can reach alone.
• It’s progressive.
What happens when I am in the will of God?
• It produces a piece of heaven here on earth.
• We have protection.
• There is provision. (There is curse outside of the will of God)
• We have peace. (Philippians 4:6-7, Colossians 3:15)
Think about it:
Are you living in the perfect will of God or the permissive will of God?
Have you prayed for God to reveal to you his purpose for your life?
What blessings have you experimented in your life because you did the will of God?
