HOW TO FIND THE WILL OF GOD?

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:2 NLT).

The Bible says that God’s will is good, pleasing, and perfect. He knows what is best for us more than anyone else. So, to live well, the only thing we need is to know the will of God and do it. When we don’t know it, it goes bad for us. However, doing His will benefits us.

How to know what God’s will is?

1. In Scripture, (John 5:39, 2 Timothy 3:16). To know what God’s will is, it has to pass through the filter of Scripture.

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires (Hebrews 4:12 NLT).

2. Through revelation and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Knowing the will of God is related to knowledge, so the key is to continually renew our mind. An unrenewed mind will always lack the will of God. A mind that is out of God’s will becomes perverted.

Think about it:

1. What have you done that is outside the will of God?
2. What are you doing that is in His will?
3. In which of the above two places did you feel more peace?
4. In what area do you believe God wants you to enter into His will?
