Knowing and doing the will of God

KNOWING AND DOING THE WILL OF GOD

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward  on a firm footing (Psalm 143:10 NLT)
It is not only about knowing the will of God, but the blessing comes when we actually do it. When we know it but don’t do it, we have problems in life.

Four important elements of the will of God:

1. We should know the will of God. The greatest stronghold a person can have is ignorance, lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6). That’s why it is important to know His will and this is done through His word. When it is not known, it cannot be done.

2. I should be in the will of God. You can know it but not be in it. Is it the will of God to serve Him? Then why do so many not do it? Is it possible that the Will of God is that everyone accepts Him and congregates? Then, why do so many not do it?

3. Speak the will of God. When I speak the will of God, what seems impossible is made possible by God. I cannot speak badly, such as, “Oh, my arthritis! My diabetes!” Jesus would speak the will of the Father.

4. Do the will of God.
Many are seeking prophetic words from God and God doesn’t speak to them, because God has already spoken to them before and they still haven’t done what He had told them to do.
There are people who have much knowledge but take no action.
God is not going to speak to you until you have practiced what he has spoken to you before.

It is not enough to know the will of God, but we also need to do it.

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. (James 1:22)
Think about it:
                                                                                                                          1. What has God told you to do that you still have not done?
Are your words aligned to the will of God?
Is everything you do inside the will of God?
