The wise have wealth and luxuries

THE WISE HAVE WEALTH AND LUXURIES

The wise have wealth and luxury,
but fools spend whatever they get. (Proverbs 21:20 NLT).

Here we see two types of people, the wise and the foolish. Who are the wise and who are the foolish? What are some differences between them?

The wise have wealth, but the foolish never come out of their poverty.

The wise are good administrators of what God has entrusted them with, but the foolish waste everything they get.

The wise practice the 10-10-80 rule, but the foolish do not even care about what that is. The first 10 is for God, the second is for savings, and the 80 percent is for our own uses.

The wise are good administrators and use a monthly budget, but the foolish don’t care about how they use it or where all the money goes. All they know is they have none left.

The wise person knows that he owns nothing, that God is the owner of everything and that we should be good administrators so that He can trust us with more.

The wise person starts to save for college since their child is born, but the fool doesn’t even care about his children’s education.

The fool wastes and squanders his money on unimportant things, but the wise person also saves and invests for the future.

The wise have wealth and luxury,
but fools spend whatever they get. (Proverbs 21:20 NLT).

Think about it:

In what way are you administering the money God has entrusted you with?
Knowing that you are only an administrator and that God is the owner, does your way of administrating your finances change?
In what ways do you think living with a budget can help you?
Are you practicing the 10-10-80 rule?
