Consequences of disillusion

CONSEQUENCES OF DISILLUSION

Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12 NLT).

The devil sends flaming arrows, that are disillusion we suffer when someone or something doesn’t fulfill our expectations, and if we let ourselves be affected, he achieves his goal because the following consequences occur:

1. Deception causes discouragement. You don’t want to fight for your marriage, you don’t have energy to study, etc.

2. They open doors to spirits of depression, chronic sadness, bitterness, suicide, death, etc.

3. They kill your faith and steal your expectations.  You have no dreams or vision. You had come with so many illusions, and then they disillusioned you and you lost all of that. “I don’t want to serve in church anymore. I don’t want to win souls anymore.” You don’t have strength to serve or pray.

4. It sickens the mind and soul
. Your mind shuts down and panic enters your life.
You give way to depression, and this brings about a profound sadness, dejection, lack of strength to move forward, your world and your mind shut down. You see everything negatively, you’ve lost vision, the devil robs your dreams because someone failed you and you think it will happen again. You start to condition yourself for death and enter into a destructive mode.

But, Jesus came to tell you to not fear, because whatever your problem may be, it has an expiration date. It will not last forever, but what will is the Word of God. Don’t give up. Jesus said, “Trust in me because I have defeated the world.”

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NLT).

Think about it:

Have you made way for depression to enter your life through disillusion?
Have you let your disillusion sicken you emotionally?
In what way does it help you to know that your problem has an expiration date?
