REST THROUGH TRUSTING GOD

The Lord directs our steps,
so why try to understand everything along the way? (Proverbs 20:24 NLT)

How do we rest in God? Through trusting Him. We don’t try to understand everything that happens to us on the path of life, because at the end God is the one who guides our steps.

We’re not going to understand many things that happen, but what we know for sure is that we are where we are because God has brought us there. We are who we are because God has made us that way, and we have what God has given us.
God makes even the bad things that have happened to us work for our good. He uses the pain in our lives to make us more mature, failures to make us more humble people, and suffering to make us more compassionate and tolerant with others.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:28 NLT

The Lord has guided our steps up to today, so, why do we still try to understand everything that happens? Let’s rest in God, as he will use every difficult situation in our lives to work for our good. We cannot be in better hands than in God’s.

Think about it:

What situations in your life have robbed your peace?
Can you think of all the times that the bad things that happened in your life ended up working for good?
Who do you run to our place your trust in when things you don’t understand happen?
