THAT IS HOW RESENTFUL PEOPLE DIE

When Ahithophel realized that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey, went to his hometown, set his affairs in order, and hanged himself. He died there and was buried in the family tomb.” (2 Samuel 17:23 NLT)

Ahithophel got offended because no one paid attention to his advice and opinions.

Let’s not be so sensitive or become offended when our opinions or ways of thinking are rejected or not valued. We shouldn’t be fussy in wanting everything we say or want to happen, or wanting things to happen in our own way. Not everyone is going to be in agreement with us, but we shouldn’t throw in the towel or become offended because then we lose.

Let’s be mature because in the end, resentful people end up strangling their friendships, peace in their home, and God’s plans for their lives.

When Ahithophel realized that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey, went to his hometown, set his affairs in order, and hanged himself. He died there and was buried in the family tomb.” (2 Samuel 17:23 NLT)

Think about it:

Are you resentful today because someone did not value you yesterday?

Have you lose opportunities or privileges due to easily feeling resentful when you are not paid attention to?

Have you strangled friendships or peace in your home with your attitude?
