Why sing to God?

WHY SING TO GOD?

“What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?” (Psalm 30:9 NLT)

1.-Because He has freed me from great problems and enemies.  I am still alive and have strength to fulfill my purpose in God.

“I will exalt you, Lord, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.. (Psalm 30:1 NLT)

2.- Because He healed me when I was physically or emotionally sick. He has not left me ill. I am healthy.

“O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.” (Psalm 30:2 NLT)

3.- Because I am not dead yet. Because you have freed me from accidents. I remember when I was a young boy a room fell on top of us, and God protected me because He had a purpose for me.

“You brought me up from the grave, O Lord. You kept me from falling into the pit of death.” (Psalm 30:3 NLT)

4.-Because His anger doesn’t last forever. Although I make mistakes, God doesn’t stay angry with me.

“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime!” (Psalm 30:5)

5.- Because weeping doesn’t last forever.I have sometimes gone through problems that have made me cry, but God has returned to me my joy despite my enemies and critics.

Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)

6.- Because when I am full of pride God brings me back to my senses.

“When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!” Your favor, O Lord, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.” (Psalm 30:6-7)

7.- Because you have changed my sorry life into one full of joy.

“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, (Psalm 30:11)

Think about it:

Do you sing to God or to human beings?

What has the Lord done for you for which He deserves to be sung to?

Is there something you should be grateful to God for?
