ARROGANCE AND ANGER VS. HUMILITY AND PATIENCE
Pride, arrogance, and rage.
1. Everyday, we have the opportunity to touch people in our lives with either pride and arrogance, or with kindness and courtesy. We can be a deposit of anger, or of joy and optimism. We have the option, it is our decision.
2. We need to make sure that our hearts do not become full of these things that can turn us into an undesirable and toxic person in our home and job.
3. We shouldn’t allow others who act like this to affect us, because in the end their success is very fragile and temporary.
4. We need to counteract it by asking God to help us develop the Fruits of the Spirit.
God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (Matthew 5:5-7 NLT)
Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor. (Proverbs 18:12 NLT)
Think about it:
What are you depositing in the people around you? Have you guarded your heart against all pride and anger?
In what way can you contribute to changing a toxic environment in your home or place of work into a joyful environment?
