In the right place and time

IN THE RIGHT PLACE AND TIME

And Gehazi was telling the king about the time Elisha had brought a boy back to life. At that very moment, the mother of the boy walked in to make her appeal to the king about her house and land. “Look, my lord the king!” Gehazi exclaimed. “Here is the woman now, and this is her son—the very one Elisha brought back to life!” (2 Kings 8:5 NLT)

What a coincidence that the woman entered the palace just as they were talking about her!

In this specific moment, a divine connection was made between God, the king, prophet Elisha’s helper, and this woman who eventually received the benefits of being in the right place at the right time.

How important it is to obey God’s impulses in our hearts and not doubt. The Lord had made arrangements so that, in that very moment, those three people would meet in the palace.

Had the woman been delayed or lazy, or decided to go on another day, she wouldn’t have found Gehazi telling the king the story of her son that was brought back to life.

She was in the right place at the right time and received the great benefits that a divine connection can bring.

“Is this true?” the king asked her. And she told him the story. So he directed one of his officials to see that everything she had lost was restored to her, including the value of any crops that had been harvested during her absence. (2 Kings 8:6 NLT)

Let’s be attentive to the connections God is preparing for us so that we don’t lose the blessings God has for us in the ministry, school, work, etc.

Let’s be in the right place at the right time when God tells us to do something in prayer or when reading the Bible.

Think about it:

What door are you waiting for God to open?

What are the divine connections that you need?

Are you praying and listening to God’s voice, ready to obey His instructions?
