WHAT ARE WE PUTTING ALL OUR EFFORT INTO?
When we put our heart, soul, and strength in someone or something, that will guide our decisions in life. We begin to live passionately. We give ourselves and our time with passion for that someone or something.
People nowadays have common temptations to give our hearts and strengths to things such as materialism, fame, power, money, love, trends and other things that impassion people.
This gets to the point where they neglect everything else in life. They don’t care about family, they forget values such as integrity, mutual respect, courtesy, humility, service, and healthy relationships. Everything is forgotten about when a person has a toxic obsession.
On the other hand, there is a group of people in the world who have decided to invest their heart and strength more constructively.
Josiah grew passionate for God, and the result was that he decided to obey all the instructions written by God that no other king, before or after him, obeyed. He went down in history as a leader who made a great difference in the world, a leader that benefited an entire nation and brought an entire generation back to God.
Think about it:
What are you doing with all of your heart and strength?
Do you affect or benefit others with what you do passionately?
What will be said of you when you are no longer on this Earth?
