I took you from the enclosure

I TOOK YOU FROM THE ENCLOSURE

“…I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel…” (1 Chronicles 17:7 NLT)

“I”
Who is speaking? “I” refers to God.
“I took you”
What did He do? “I took you” refers to God taking David out of a place.
“From tending sheep”
From where did He take him? From tending sheep refers to a position that is not very visible, it wasn’t a place of leadership or influence. It wasn’t the height of success to be a shepherd of sheep.
“To be”
With what objective? This speaks of the transformation of a person who was nothing, who came out of anonymity.
“Leader”
What did God want Him to be? This speaks of a valuable identity, a radical change in life.
“Leader of” refers to being above, on higher levels, with influence and leadership to lead other people.
“My people”
What group would he be leading? “My people” shows that God trusts us with something that does not belong to us. It’s His people, His church, His money, my life is His life, my money is His money, my time is His time, my disciples are His disciples, etc.

(1 ..”…I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel.Chronicles 17:7 NLT)

GOD HAS TAKEN US OUT OF DIFFERENT PLACES. HE HAS PLACED US IN POSITIONS OF INFLUENCE AND HAS TRUSTED US WITH WHAT IS MOST LOVED BY HIM: HIS PEOPLE, HIS CHURCH.
HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT AND VALUED THAT?

Think about it:

Where has God taken you out of?
What has God done in your life?
What has He given you influence over? What has He trusted you with?
