Lack of knowledge or lack of applying knowledge?

LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OR LACK OF APPLYING KNOWLEDGE?

My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests… (Hosea 4:6)

The people are destroyed due to lack of knowledge of God’s word. How many people are out there that have never read the Bible?

We see people in society doing evil, living in sin because those things are “normal” to the world. They don’t know what God’s word says in that respect, and they live that way out of ignorance.

But I would like to add that there are also people who fail even if they do have the knowledge of His Word. The problem is that they do not apply the knowledge. They simply choose to ignore it and live in pleasures instead of living in a way that is pleasing to God, and that is a sin.

Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it. (James 4:17 NLT)
My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests… (Hosea 4:6)

Think about it:

Are you one of those who do not know God’s word or know it already?
What part of the Bible do you know already but have neglected putting it to practice?
What changes do you need to make to do what is pleasing to God?
