They become vagabonds

THOSE WHO DON’T LISTEN OR OBEY TURN INTO WANDERERS

My God will reject the people of Israel because they will not listen or obey. They will be wanderers, homeless among the nations. (Hosea 9:17 NLT)

What happens when people don’t like to listen nor obey? They turn into wanderers. In other words, they are people without a clear destination, no defined purpose, they live without objective, have no stability, don’t prosper where they are, etc.

“Listen” speaks to us of learning from others who are ahead of us. Their instructions will help us avoid roaming this earth with no purpose and will help us take a shorter route to achieve more goals in effective ways.

But there are people who do not like to listen and obey others, and the worst part is that they don’t even listen or obey God. Their lives point toward failure.

What is the solution to not be a wanderer? Knowing how to listen to and obey God.

For simpletons turn away from me—to death. Fools are destroyed by their own complacency. But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.” (Proverbs 1:32-33 NLT)

My God will reject the people of Israel because they will not listen or obey. They will be wanderers, homeless among the nations. (Hosea 9:17 NLT)

Think about it:

Do you consider yourself to be a teachable person?

What has God spoken to you lately that you have not put into practice?
What makes it easier for you to listen to God? In the Bible, in your prayer time, or Sunday sermons at church?
