What does it mean to be transformed?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE TRANSFORMED?

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT)

Transformation can compare to the metamorphosis of a butterfly. For a caterpillar to achieve its purpose in converting into a butterfly it must suffer a process of transformation. It needs to go through the entire process or else it may come out deformed. In the same way, we should go through a metamorphosis process that begins in the heart so that we do not come out deformed, rather transformed.

We are destined to constantly be transformed, and that is why there is something in us that doesn’t allow us to remain stagnant. If that happens to us, our lives begin to lose meaning.

We are destined to be transformed, that is what it means to be like the Aurora Lights. The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,     which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.  (Proverbs 4:18 NLT)

Those who refuse to be transformed remain stagnant and don’t fulfill the scriptures that say God takes us from glory to glory.

God’s carriers are not spectators, rather participants. Part of being God’s image and likeness on this earth means being transformed to transform our surroundings. The best part is that we will continue to be transformed until Jesus returns for His church.

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT)

Think about it:

In what area of your life do you need a transformation?
Have you been obedient for God to transform you or have you been resistant?
Have you felt stagnant?
