Don’t fear

DON’T FEAR
Part 1

But do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel. For I will bring you home again from distant lands, and your children will return from their exile. Israel will return to a life of peace and quiet, and no one will terrorize them. (Jeremiah 46:27 NLT)

There are four things that God spoke to His people, Israel, through this verse, and now we can apply it to ourselves when we feel scared due to life’s problems. Today we will learn two points and tomorrow we will learn two more.

1. Don’t fear.
In the Bible, there are hundreds of phrases related to “don’t fear.”
Fear is a natural emotion in human beings. There are good fears and bad fears.
For example, fear of fire keeps us from suffering burns on our body. But, bad fear can paralyze us and stop us from progressing and achieving success in our spiritual, family, social, and financial life.

2. Do not be dismayed.

Discouragement is a powerful weapon the Devil uses to deviate our focus from our goals. When someone feels discouraged, they also feel tired. They don’t have the energy to fight, they lose their dreams, and don’t fulfill God’s purpose on this earth.

For that reason, God is always encouraging us and reminding us of His promises in His Word. We shouldn’t fear, He is with us, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, He will be with us until the end of the world, etc.

But do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel. For I will bring you home again from distant lands, and your children will return from their exile. Israel will return to a life of peace and quiet, and no one will terrorize them. (Jeremiah 46:27 NLT)

To be continued…

Think about it:

In what area have you felt that you haven’t achieved your dreams because of fear?
Have you stopped dreaming or felt unenergetic to fight for your dreams?
What difference will it make in your life to know that God is with you, helping you through everything?
