God of promises

GOD OF PROMISES

But the Lord did not want to destroy David’s dynasty, for he had made a covenant with David and promised that his descendants would continue to rule, shining like a lamp forever. (2 Chronicles 21:7 NLT)

God is a God of promises and He always fulfills His promises because He doesn’t lie. Men can lie and fail, but God always fulfills what He promises. He is faithful and that is why we can trust that He will do everything He has promised us.

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. (2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT)

1. God made a covenant with David and fulfilled His promise.

2. God made a covenant with us on the cross and we can trust that He will fulfill what He has promised us in His Word.

3. What is the last promise of God you read in the Bible and expect to be fulfilled? Salvation? Healing? Provision?
Memorize the promise, declare the promise, walk and live in the light of that promise.
Choose to believe God and His promises, and He will never fail you!

But the Lord did not want to destroy David’s dynasty, for he had made a covenant with David and promised that his descendants would continue to rule, shining like a lamp forever. (2 Chronicles 21:7 NLT)

Think about it:

What are you waiting for on behalf of God?
In which of God’s promises have you placed your trust?
Are you walking by faith, believing that God’s promise will come to pass in your life?
