HOW TO OVERCOME DISCOURAGEMENT
Part 2
The Lord replied,“I will take care of you, Jeremiah. Your enemies will ask you to plead on their behalf in times of trouble and distress. (Jeremiah 15:11 NLT)
Tips to help you overcome discouragement caused by problems:
1. Resist faking it, be real. We all go through difficulties and problems. Sometimes we deny what is happening. We shouldn’t deny reality, but we stand firm on the Truth that is the Word of God.
2. Take the focus off of you. Life is not all about you. Our problems are nothing compared to the problems of others. There are seriously ill people in a hospital while we are healthy.
3. Know your limits. You are not God. We are weak, and because of that, let’s surrender everything to God because when we are weak, we are strong in Jesus Christ.
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10 NLT)

Think about it:
What Promise from God strengthens you to continue having hope and courage in the midst of a problem?
Do you know people that are in bigger problems than you?
Have you surrendered your problems to God?
