Let’s not fight “against”, but “with”

LET’S NOT FIGHT “AGAINST”, BUT “WITH”

This is what the Lord says: Do not fight against your relatives. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’” So they obeyed the message of the Lord and did not fight against Jeroboam. (2 Chronicles 11:4 NLT)

Even though I won’t explain the context of this passage, allow me to make a real-life application.

Christians should not fight “against” our brothers and sisters, rather “with” our brothers and sisters. Furthermore, we should fight “against” the common enemy, which is Satan.

Let’s not fight against brothers and sisters that are different, or minister differently than we do. Better yet, let’s win souls together. Jesus Christ said: “He who is not against us is for us.”

Let’s not waste energy fighting amongst each other, rather, let’s focus on appreciating the gifts that each person has to fulfill God’s purpose.

This is what the Lord says: Do not fight against your relatives. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’” So they obeyed the message of the Lord and did not fight against Jeroboam. (2 Chronicles 11:4 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you been fighting “with” or “against” a certain brother or sister?
Are you gaining energy by fighting with someone or by winning souls?
In what ways do you think uniting with your brothers and sisters can help you achieve more?
