THE ISSUE IS IN THE HEART
For their tongues shoot lies like poisoned arrows. They speak friendly words to their neighbors while scheming in their heart to kill them. (Jeremías 9:8 NLT)
When the heart is sick, our intentions become wrong towards other people.
We can suppress it for some time with our words, but in the end, the true wrong actions will show, which are the true desires that are in our hearts.
We will begin to speak negatively, critically, and slanderously because the reality is that the mouth speaks what is in the heart.
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. (Luke 6:45 NLT)
You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. (Mathew 12:34)
Our hearts should be reflected with our words. We should have a healed heart to be able to speak with integrity, with words that edify and are of blessings and not curse. If your heart is sick, ask God for forgiveness and for Him to clean it.
For their tongues shoot lies like poisoned arrows. They speak friendly words to their neighbors while scheming in their heart to kill them. (Jeremías 9:8 NLT)
Think about it:
Do you speak more words of blessing or curse? Words of faith or negativity?
Is your heart healed or sick?
Do you think you need to forgive someone so your heart can be healed?
Have you asked God for help to fill your heart with His love?
