Brokenness

BROKENNESS

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. (Isaiah 57:15 NLT)

Breaking is the method God uses to deal with our ego and independent spirit so humility can come to our lives. Then, we can recognize our sins against Him, confronting ourselves with bravery until we say “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20).

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT)

What is the purpose of brokenness?

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:“I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts... (Isaiah 57:15 NLT)

Think about it:

Do you have an independent spirit, or do you depend on God?
Have you been broken down?
Have you surrendered your life to God?
