Not all are buried in honor

NOT ALL ARE BURIED IN HONOR

They are not buried in honor like their fallen heroes, who went down to the grave with their weapons—their shields covering their bodies and their swords beneath their heads. Their guilt rests upon them because they brought terror to everyone while they were still alive. (Ezekiel 32:27 NLT)

Some are buried with honor and others with indifference.
We are all going to die, and our bodies will be temporarily laid in a cemetery until the Lord Jesus Christ returns. But not all receive honor in that moment of burial. People get happy when some die, but others are honored for their contribution in life. They’re cried over because they were people that were highly esteemed. These people are those that are not only remembered, but missed because of what they meant to the community, their enrichment to society, family, and their church.

These are those that have marks on their body as a sign that they bravely fought in life, but not with a sword, rather with the love of God and fruits of the Spirit. They didn’t fight with an army, but with the powerful weapons of God, fighting for the defenseless, orphans, and widows and lived to enrich others even if that meant sacrificing personal desires. They are those who lived and will live saying, “I take joy in doing your will, my God (Psalms 40:8).”

These are the people that are buried in honor.

They are not buried in honor like their fallen heroes, who went down to the grave with their weapons—their shields covering their bodies and their swords beneath their heads. Their guilt rests upon them because they brought terror to everyone while they were still alive. (Ezekiel 32:27 NLT)

Think about it:

When you die, do you think you will be missed for having been a blessing to this earth?
What have you sacrificed in order to be able to enrich others?
What can you begin to do to enrich your family and this society?
