This life is not all our lives

THIS LIFE IS NOT ALL OUR LIVES

Many of those whose bodies lie dead and buried will rise up, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting disgrace. (Daniel 12:2 NLT)

Here, the angel spoke to Daniel and his people, but it also applies to us.

Let’s remember that our lives in this body is short. Even if we reach living 120 years, this life is simply preparation for eternal life.
One day, all human beings that have died will resurrect, no one in exception.

Although, some will resurrect to live in eternal condemnation and others will live in God’s joy and peace forever. Some will live through eternal life full of suffering and confusion, while others will enjoy with God forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

The real question isn’t if we’re going to live again, rather, where will we live when we resurrect? In hell or heaven?

Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment. (John 5:28-29 NLT)

This life is only a test for the true and long life. That’s why we need to live consciously of what we do. Our thoughts and actions have consequences and determine where we will spend eternity.

Thank God that it’s not too difficult to determine where I will live after I resurrect. God has already provided a way for us to be with Him despite all the imperfections we have now. This way is called Jesus Christ.

Whoever rejects Jesus Christ in this life will resurrect into confusion and suffering, but whoever accepts Him in their heart while they live in this world will resurrect to live forever with Him.

This life is not all our lives. It is only where we are prepared to determine where we want to live for eternity.

Many of those whose bodies lie dead and buried will rise up, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting disgrace. (Daniel 12:2 NLT)

Think about it:

Do you know which of these groups you will be in when you resurrect, those who resurrect into confusion in hell or those who will live in peace with God?
Have you accepted Jesus Christ in your heart or rejected Him? Are you conscious that how you live your life and the decisions you make will determine where you spend eternity?
