WE CONSERVE ENERGY TOGETHER
Part II
Life problems and crises are like a weight we carry that deviates our focus from our purpose and impedes us from advancing in life.
Yesterday we learned two things we should do to strip off that weight and today we will learn one more.
How do we strip off every weight?
1. Being realistic. Learn how emotions work. We need to have real expectations. One part is what the church does for us and people that help us, but we also need to do our part, which no one can fill our expectations and necessities. It’s normal for us to feel sad because no one can take away our pain, only God.
Mary even complained to Jesus and Jesus himself felt alone at some point.
When Mary arrived and saw Jesus, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:32 NLT)
Then at three o’clock Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” (Mark 15:34 NLT)
We should be realistic when going through problems. There are needs no one can fill, only God. Our part in that situation is to seek God.
Think about it:
Have you placed high expectations on people?
What is the part that others can play in your life and do for you?
What is your part, your responsibility?
Are you seeking God through prayer and depending on Him?
