Be careful of where you put your trust

BE CAREFUL OF WHERE YOU PUT YOUR TRUST

“Look what happens to mighty warriors who do not trust in God. They trust their wealth instead and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.” (Psalm 52:7 NLT)

Your value and confidence rests on something no one can take away from you.

You can lose a friend, an employee, riches can disappear in an instant, a spouse can betray you, etc. There is only one thing that no one can take away from you and you cannot lose: God’s love for you. There is nothing you can do to force God to stop loving you.
That’s why you need to put your trust in God and not in what you can lose at any moment.

But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. I will trust in your good name
in the presence of your faithful people…. (Psalm 52:8-9 NLT)

If you put your trust in God, He will keep you in His perfect peace.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. (Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT)

Think about it:

Who or what have you placed your confidence and security in?
Has someone ever failed you, or have you lost something or someone who you trusted?
Do you lack peace?
