BENEFITS OF BROKENNESS
Brokenness and obedience takes us to a special place within God’s plans. When we are broken down it’s because God wants to pull out the best in us. If the brokenness is big, then you need to know that the calling for your life is even bigger.
He makes you reconsider. The prodigal son fell into the lowest of lows. He remembered what he had left behind in his father’s house and turned around and returned to his father’s house wanting to be a day worker. When his father saw him, he ran to hug his son and placed a ring and royal clothes on him. He didn’t get rid of him or sent him to work as a day worker, rather, he became joyful, hosted a party for him and celebrated the return of his lost son.
In the example of the Prodigal Son, we can see the young person recognizing their sin, praying to the Father, asking for forgiveness, and didn’t return to his bad habits. True repentance is more than just words. It’s a change in conduct and direction.
We shall be exalted. (Philippians 2:5-11) Jesús nos enseña que si queremos ser exaltados lo primero que tenemos que hacer es ser humillados. The Lord Jesus humbled himself and obeyed God until the death. He died nailed to a cross. During those times, this was the most humiliating thing to happen, but He did it without question. That’s why God gave Him the highest privilege. He gave Him the name above all names so that every knee will bow to him, in heaven, earth, and those below the earth to recognize Jesus as Lord.
