Even if it takes long

EVEN IF IT TAKES LONG

Jesus got into the boat again and went back to the other side of the lake, where a large crowd gathered around him on the shore. Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him. “My little daughter is dying,” he said. “Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live.”
Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him. (Mark 5:21-24 NLT)

The Bible tells the story of a religious leader in that time whose daughter was dying. He begged Jesus to heal her and as they were walking, a woman with constant bleeding touched Jesus’ robe and was instantly healed. When Jairus realized that Jesus stopped to ask who touched Him, he grew impatient because he needed Jesus to go heal his daughter and the woman was delaying Him. The lesson here is:

Learn to wait:
It sometimes may seem as if Jesus takes His time to respond to our urgent needs. We are not the only ones going through problems. There are many with worse and God has a response for all.

Make a way amongst the obstacles. Don’t stay lying down, waiting for things to get fixed.

Jairus’ daughter was dying. In the same way, it sometimes may seem as if our family, children, marriage, job, health, or finances are dying and the Lord is taking too long.

What do you do while you wait? Do you grow bitter, full of hate, and let it out on others? Or do you remain with your eyes fixed on Jesus, waiting for your response with faith? How serious the situation might be that does not matter? If Jesus said He would go with you to your house, He will do it even if it seems like it’s too late.

We should know that God’s methods are no tour methods. But we need to be sure that if God promised something, He will fulfill it because even if it seems like it’s too late, we should never stop having faith.

Think about it:

What response from God are you waiting for?
What are you doing while you are waiting for the response?
What is God’s promise regarding the situation you’re going through?
