Four conditions for seven blessings

FOUR CONDITIONS FOR SEVEN BLESSINGS
Part 1

“If only you would prepare your heart
and lift up your hands to him in prayer! 14 Get rid of your sins,
and leave all iniquity behind you.15 Then your face will brighten with innocence.
You will be strong and free of fear.16  You will forget your misery; it will be like water flowing away.17 Your life will be brighter than the noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning.18 Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety.19 You will lie down unafraid, and many will look to you for help. (Job 11:13-19 NLT)

Many people want God’s blessings without making any changes in their lives, but every Promise or blessing of God is subject to obedience, action is required. There are conditions. In this passage, there are only four things that God asks of you, but seven great blessings that he will give you in return!

Conditions:

1.If you prepare your heart. (Verse. 13) If you provide your heart, if you surrender to God, surrendering your heart.
Surrendering according to the dictionary is:
“Submit a person to the domain or power of another.” It would mean then, letting God take control of your life.

2. Lifting up your hands to God. (Verse. 13) Giving practical signs that you are giving up. (Raising hands is a sign of surrender).

3. If you pray to God. (Verse. 13)

4. If you part from sin. (Verse. 14). Stop doing what God dislikes and do what he likes.
Start practicing these four things and you will see great blessings in your life!

If only you would prepare your heart
and lift up your hands to him in prayer! 14 Get rid of your sins,
and leave all iniquity behind you then your face will brighten with innocence.
You will be strong and free of fear…. (Job 11:13-19 NLT)

Think about it:

Which of these four conditions do you need to implement?
Which of them is harder for you to accomplish?
How do you think surrendering your heart to God can help you meet the other three conditions?
