What to do so that our prayers are heard

WHAT TO DO SO THAT OUR PRAYERS ARE HEARD

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16 NLT)

Prayer is one of the ways of speaking with God, and for this to be effective and God to hear, the following is necessary:

  • Read and declare verses of the Bible that speak about God always fulfilling His promises and that He still does miracles. This will help thoughts of doubt or unbelief leave your mind and increase your faith. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.”. (Marcos 11:24 NLT)
  • We need to be sure that our intentions and goals for our prayers are aligned with what God has established. Let them be conformed to His will and align with Him. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.”. (James 4:3 NLT)
  • To remove all obstacle that impedes the flow of our prayers, all damaged relationships must be healed by forgiveness and asking for forgiveness. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. (Mark 11:25 NLT)
  • To not have obstacles in our prayers, let’s fix our problems with our spouses. It’s not so much having difficulties, rather resolving them “…you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.” (1 Peter 3:7 NLT)
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16 NLT)

Think about it:

What is the motivation behind your petitions? Do they satisfy a personal desire or doing God’s will?
Do you have any damaged relationships?
What problems do you need to resolve as soon as possible with your spouse?
