Your beautiful friend of mine

YOUR BEAUTIFUL FRIEND OF MINE

You are altogether beautiful..
beautiful in every way. (Song of Solomon 4:7)

This book of the Bible of Songs has two applications. The first is the relationship between a husband and his wife; but spiritually speaking, it refers to the relationship of Christ with his wife, the church. It tells us two things about us who make up his church:

1. He considers us beautiful
Our identity is in God. We are his special treasure, bought at the price of his life on the cross. Although other people despise us, God’s opinion is what matters most to us, it is what gives us identity and a healthy self-esteem.

2. He wants a church without blemishes, holy
This tells us that we must take care of our way of life.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

You are altogether beautiful..
beautiful in every way. (Song of Solomon 4:7)

Think about it:

What gives you identity?
Do you care more about what people think of you or what God says about you?
Are you living in a way that pleases God?
