IF I DON’T MATURE, I CAN’T INHERIT
Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had.. (Galatians 4:1 NLT)
There are many immature Christians who can’t receive the inheritance God wants to give them in this life.
A child does not have the maturity to wisely administer the inheritance his parents worked so hard for. So, even though he’s technically rich, he’s the same as his nannies that care for him until he grows.
Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had.. (Galatians 4:1 NLT)
I sometimes see people who have heard the same lessons as me for years, but they have never grown in their character. They won’t be able to inherit everything God wants to give them because they haven’t matured emotionally, don’t have integrity, continue to act irresponsibly, and like children.
Sometimes they frustrate me and I think like Paul:
I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you was for nothing. (Galatians 4:11 NLT)
But, it also motivates me to continue growing and maturing so that my Heavenly Father authorizes my inheritance.
Lord, I don’t want to remain like a child that can’t receive his or her inheritance. I will mature. I don’t want to be the same as the nanny who takes care of the inheritor child. Father, help me. Give me your grace to grow and be a mature, faithful, and responsible child whom you can be proud of.
Padre quiero ser un hijo confiable a quien tú puedas decirle: en lo poco has sido fiel, en lo mucho te pondré. (Mat. 25:21)

Think about it:
What do you need to begin to do to advance your purpose?
To what or whom do you need to say “no” that deviates you from your purpose?
Are you living life with wisdom or do you need wisdom from God?
