Mercy and favor

MERCY AND FAVOR

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us (Psalm 67:1 NIV)

MERCY: It means not receiving what we deserve.
Thank you, Lord, because you have not given me what I deserve for the bad things and mistakes I have made in life.

FAVOR: It is to receive what we do not deserve.
Thank you, Lord, because you have given me good surprises and blessings in this life that I do not deserve, but that has pleased You to give me.

God, give me patience to treat others with mercy and not give them what they deserve when they misbehave and bless them beyond what they deserve.

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us (Psalm 67:1 NIV)

Think:

How have you seen God’s favor in your life?
How many times have you experienced God’s mercy?
What costs you more, being merciful, or blessing those who don’t deserve it?
