Dangers we should avoid in this season

DANGERS WE SHOULD AVOID IN THIS SEASON

… but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. (Luke 2:10 NLT)

Christmas time is a time to enjoy, but unfortunately, there are many people that get sad and don’t enjoy this time. There are four dangers we should avoid. Today we will learn two and tomorrow we will learn two more to be able to enjoy these festive times without being sad, rather joyful and peaceful.

1.- Destructive melancholy. (Luke. 2:10)

2.- Places and celebrations that only destroy.

Who has anguish? Who has sorrow? Who is always fighting? Who is always complaining?
Who has unnecessary bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes? It is the one who spends long hours in the taverns, trying out new drinks. Don’t gaze at the wine, seeing how red it is, how it sparkles in the cup, how smoothly it goes down. For in the end it bites like a poisonous snake; it stings like a viper. (Prov. 23.29-32)

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil[a]? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? (2 Corinthians 6.14-15 NLT)

Think about it:

What can you do to avoid melancholy during this time period?
What reasons do you have to be joyful for what God has during in your life this year?
What people should you avoid at parties and get-togethers?
