From behind the sheep, to the throne

FROM BEHIND THE SHEEP, TO THE THRONE

“Now go and say to my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel (2 Samuel 7:8 NLT)

King David did not begin in a palace. He was behind sheep. It doesn’t matter where you have come from or what you have done David was looked down upon at first, even by his own father and brothers. Have you felt underappreciated by your family?

1.- What other people say does not matter. What’s important is what God says. Our joy does not depend on what people say, rather was the Word of God says we are. I prefer to believe God.

2.- My past does not matter. God doesn’t care about your past, because when we come to Christ, everything is forgiven when we repent. “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”. (2 Corinthians. 5:17 NLT)

3.- It does not matter whose fault it is. We shouldn’t look for those at fault about the bad things that happened to us. Nothing can be done about our past, only asking for forgiveness and God forgives.

God brought us out from behind the sheep to established us as princes of his kingdom and leave a legacy of blessing.

“Now go and say to my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel (2 Samuel 7:8 NLT)

Think about it:

Where did God take you out of?
Had you let your past or what others say about you stop you from seeing what God has for your life?
Do you believe God can do something great through you?
