I AM PATIENT BECAUSE GOD HAS BEEN PATIENT WITH ME
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. (Colossians 3:12-13 NLT)
As the children of God that we are, we shouldn’t be intolerant with others or have a lack of forgiveness. We shouldn’t treat others in a rash way or have an arrogant attitude. We shouldn’t be cold or indifferent before the needs of others. Why? Because we are supposed to have the love of God and the Holy Spirit in our hearts.
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too... (Philippians 2:3-4 NLT)
How has God been with us? In other words, be patient because God has been patient with you.
Forgive because God has forgiven you in the past and you will need forgiveness in the future.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. (Philippians 2:5 NLT)
