The father that walked with God

THE FATHER THAT WALKED WITH GOD

This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. (Genesis 6:9 NLT)
The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” But Noah found favor with the Lord. (Genesis 6:5-8 NLT)

If we bring this story to our times, it means that Noah lived in a world full of drug addiction, but he was not a drug addict. He lived with bitter people, but he was not bitter. In the same way, we should be like that, different, because we live in the world but are not of the world.

If you want to be different, think and act differently. Noah changed his mentality and didn’t conform to this lost world, and because of that, he was seen by God with grace.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:2 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you conformed or imitated the customs of this world?
Do the people around you perceive you as different or not?
What thoughts do you need to change?
