Solution for spiritual lukewarmness

SOLUTION FOR SPIRITUAL LUKEWARMNESS

“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.” (Revelation 3:15,17 NLT)

Christ says that they are correct in their own opinion, but not before Him. They were conformed to how they were, but God tells them that they are naked. They would say that they don’t need anything, but God told them they need everything. They are blinded because they cannot recognize their spiritual misery and need for God. In the present day, we see this with marriages who have a half million-dollar car in their garage, but no peace in their home.

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? BE JEALOUS AND REPENT

1. Receive advice. Put on white garments through daily repenting and anoint your eyes with ointment (anointing of the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of spiritual understanding).

So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. (Revelation 3:18 NLT)

2. Repent.

I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. (Revelation 3:19 NLT)

3. Put Christ as first place in your life.

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. (Revelation. 3:20 NLT)

How does Jesus knock on the door? Through our suffering. Very few come to Christ passionately when everything is going well, but many come when there is sickness, financial troubles, when the marriage gets destroyed, when a child gets lost in drugs, etc. That’s when we usually look for Him or are more sensitive to His presence. He didn’t come to the Earth because He needed us, rather, because we needed Him. What happens if that door is not open? The sound of the door will grow quieter and quieter.

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. (Revelation. 3:20 NLT)

Think about it:

What do you need?
What do you need to repent of to be good with God?
Did you already open the door of your heart to Jesus? What are you waiting for?
