THE IMPORTANT FIRST
But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. (Luke 24:1 NLT)
The important first.
- The women had left something pending. They had not been able to reach the body of Jesus on Friday because the law said they could not do any work from after six in the afternoon.
- They kept the focus on what was important. They didn’t get distracted; they didn’t forget what they had to do, and they were waiting for Sunday to arrive.
- They completed the pending project. They made it a priority as soon as they were able to go to work on Sunday. They did the important before giving themselves their pleasures, before visiting friends, going to the game, or going to the movies, etc.
- God helped them when they decided to act.
But very early on Sunday morning…. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. (Luke 24:1-2 NLT)
Sometimes we procrastinate to do things out of fear, we think it will be too difficult for our abilities. We fear failure and prefer not to try.
By the time the women arrived, God had already removed the heavy stone from the entrance to the tomb. We must decide to do what is important and God will intervene in our favor.
We must eliminate the things that do not lead us to our goals and that only rob us of our time and strength. We should maintain our focus and complete the important projects that we have pending.
We should do things promptly “early in the morning”. Not waiting, nor wasting time, do things when you are strong, alert and energetic.

Think about it:
In the past, what situation did you ignore, or leave done halfway?
What projects do you need to resume this new year?
What has distracted you?
