WHAT TO DO IN ORDER FOR GOD TO PROSPER MY FAMILY?
TAKE CARE OF GOD’S FAMILY, THEN HE WILL PROSPER YOURS
Why were the families of these two women prospered? What should I do to have God bless my family?
Shiphrah and Puah decided to take care of God’s family. They decided to protect the lives of the newborn babies. Pharaoh had given orders to kill all the male babies and only let the female babies live.
He wanted to keep the Israelites from multiplying. (Ex. 1:16-17)
1. Pharaoh is a type of devil who does not want God’s children to multiply; the Christians.
He hates that churches are growing and will do everything possible to prevent that. He desires that the new believers who come to church stop growing, and that they get bored, to then return to their old way of living without Christ.
2. The midwives represent the Christians that serve in the church. The Christians are the ones that are taking care of the new believers so that they don’t get discouraged and making sure that they keep maturing. These women feared God. The fear of God is demonstrated when we obey God in spite of the fact that we are going against what is popular and or people’s opinions.
3. God’s blessings have been abundant for my wife and daughters, because Dinora and I have decided to be like those midwives and dedicate our lives to serve God and people.
You take care of the family of God when you tithe and give offering in your church, when you serve as part of a team in your church, when you pray for your church, and when you open a Connection Group.
I invite you to look for someone this week and take care of them. Help them in their growth. Call and ask how you can pray for him or her, offer a ride to church, invite them to your Connection Group. Motivate them to go to a retreat, and to finish the School of Success.
Do you want God to prosper your family? Then take care of the family of God.
And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own. (Exodus 1:21 NIV)
