Conditions to receive the blessings

CONDITIONS TO RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life.  I will make a covenant with you, by which I will guarantee to give you countless descendants.” (Genesis 17:1-2 NLT)

God did something new in the life of Abraham. God gave him a new name, a new son, a new wife, (not new, but a changed one) a new covenant, and not only did He bless him, but He also blessed His descendants, etc.

God wants to bless you and your descendants, but there are conditions for God to fulfill His promises. There are people who want the blessings but are not willing to obey. They don’t put God first in their prayer, nor in their tithes, they don’t want to pray, they don’t want to fast, they don’t want to serve, they don’t want to go to a Connection Group, they don’t want to win souls; but for those of us who understand, and obey the instructions of the Lord, we have His blessings.

Conditions for blessings:

1. Serve. You must serve God. You and I were born with a purpose, we are full-time ministers. Winning souls is not only for pastors. There are 7 areas that we must conquer for Christ: The area of religion, the area of sports, government, education, finance, communications and the arts.

2. Fidelity.
Not abandoning the place entrusted to us.

3. Lead an impeccable life.
Holiness separated for His purposes.

4. Obedience.
Blessings are for those who obey him.

Then God guarantees you countless descendants. God’s guarantees do not fail. Maybe the warranty of the vacuum cleaner or a device you bought failed, but God keeps his promises. He’s not like men or politicians who don’t keep their promises. God guarantees you that if you serve him and you are holy, then He will bless you.

Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life.  I will make a covenant with you, by which I will guarantee to give you countless descendants.” (Genesis 17:1-2 NLT)

Think about it:

What blessings are you waiting for from God?
Which of the four conditions do you need to meet?
In what area could you serve God?
