And there was war again

AND THERE WAS WAR AGAIN

And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David’s brother slew him. These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.  (1 Chronicles 20:6-8 KJV)

Have you felt that you have won one war and then another one comes? Have you felt that you’ve had giant problems? Sometimes problems are ugly and seem giant in our eyes, they can even appear like monsters.

What should we do when battles come?

1. Learn that battles never end. Just because we are Christian does not mean that problems end, but there are different ways of confronting them, because we know that we are more than overcomers in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 8:37) Until Jesus comes back, we will continue to be transformed, meanwhile we must know how to overcome problems.

2. Learn to mature through them. What have you learned when you have failed? It shows you humbleness, to place our feet on the ground, and to mature in our character, God is more interested in our character than our comfort.

3.We must learn to overcome the battles without getting worn out. Overcome problems in marriage without divorcing, the emotional problems and financial problems without getting depressed, and without killing anyone. We must learn to mature as we fix them.

And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant (1 Chronicles 20:6 KJV)

Think about it:

What battle are you facing?
What lesson has a problem left you?
What is your part in minimizing the problem and not making it bigger?
