HAVE YOU FELT DISCOURAGED?

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you… (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT)

There are many discouraged people in life, because they lost something: a family member, a boyfriend or girlfriend, money, job, opportunities, because they let them down, etc. But look at God’s beautiful promise for you:

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.». (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV)

If you are going through moments of discouragement, you have to be strong, because no one will do it for you. You need to stand because you are the only one responsible for your life and if you have children, you are responsible for those children or for that spouse. You can’t stay discouraged.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[a] And by him we cry, “Abba,Father» (Romans 8:15 NIV)

This word is for those of us who decide to love God and believe Him. For those of us who have accepted Him as our Lord and savior, because if someone sees you discouraged and desperate, they will say “Who is your God? Aren’t you Christian?”

Let’s stay strong and brave when faced with a crisis, because God will never leave or abandon us as His Promise says.

Think about it:

Have you allowed discouragement to enter your heart?
Have you placed your sight on God or on people?
Do you know the promises of God for your life?
