I decide to finish

I DECIDE TO FINISH

Finishing is better than starting. (Ecclesiastes 7:8 NLT)

It’s easy to start any project, the difficult thing is finishing it well. It’s easy to start a marriage or a career, but the important thing is to finish well what we start, to not stay halfway or to quit.

Some people come to church and they begin to serve and then they are no longer seen. They begin the year doing exercise and eating healthy and by March they don’t continue. I decide not to stay halfway! Jesus did not stay halfway!

Then Jesus explained:

“My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. (John 4:34 NLT)

God has given you an assignment and you should not leave it halfway.

… I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do… (John 17:4 NKJV)

God did not stay halfway on the creation.

So, the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested (Gen. 2:1-2 NLT)

Noah did not stay halfway.

So, Noah did everything as the Lord commanded him. (Gen. 7:5)

Paul did not stay halfway.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. (2 Tim. 4:7)

Because of the difficulties we get tired, but we shouldn’t leave things halfway. (Marriage, ministry, studies, personal goals, etc.)

Finishing is better than starting… (Ecclesiastes 7:8 NLT)

Think about it:

What things have you left halfway?

What assignment has God given you?

What do you have to work on to not leave things halfway?
