DISCIPLE OR BELIEVER?
If we want to be disciples of Jesus, we have to see how the first disciples, who were able to live in victory, lived? and in the same way be able to live in victory in recent times too.
The church cannot depend on the talent of a man or woman of God. Jesus Christ left, and the church continued, the first apostles died, the church carried on and continued to grow.
But now we see that when people know that the pastor will not be in church on Sunday because he is on a missionary trip, they do not go to church that day, when they should not depend on a man, but on God.
Our sight should be set on Jesus. We should pray and read the Bible for ourselves and not rely on a man for our spiritual growth.
If they tell us: Describe your relationship with Jesus Christ What would you say? Would you say “I go to church on Sundays, but nothing at all for the whole week” or what would you say?
A DISCIPLE: Is someone who FOLLOWS JESUS, someone who HEARS JESUS and ACTS according to what Jesus says.
So, if Jesús says to you, “Forgive” you must forgive, if he says to you, “Treat your wife like a fragile glass” you must do it, etc.
Think about it:
Do you have your eyes on Jesus or a man of God?
How would you describe your relationship with Jesus?
Are you someone who follows, hears, and obeys Jesus?
